Hi mousejokey, sorry for the late reply, yes it was me! I live in a small village called Harmby about a mile outside Leyburn. Its the first time I have ever been out with the guy on the SX1000 he often comes up here at weekends, and frequents my local pub. Talks big, like a lot but not up to much as a rider.

    Hi Terry,
Glad to finally hear from you, was beginning to wonder if I had imagined the whole thing :) hehe
Yes he didn't seem to know even the basics of riding. Quite dangerous in my honest opinion.
Anyway hope your well and enjoing the RS, shes a fabulous machine, best Ive ever ridden in the class and more besides. :)
Will have to arrange a meet up with you one weekend and we can have a proper chat and put some miles on the tyres :)

Naw, if he'd made it up it would have been Pam Anderson chasing him through the twisties while shouting her phone number.

Hi, M/J This might interest you if you fancy a meet up. For the last 8 years or so I have organised a run out under the auspices of the Yamaha thundercat forum. Never owned one myself, but got dragged in through my son in law, who did. For the second year running it will be based in Leyburn, and most of the attendee's will be staying on Friday the 15th and Sat. 16th then riding home on Sunday morning. Its a great event with lots of ale consumed and grub dispatched. Most of the attendees are booked into the Golden Lion pub in the market place, but this will probably be booked up by now. There are however other small hotels, guest houses, and B&Bs in the town if you fancy coming. There aren't that many coming this year, perhaps 8 or so off the top of my head, but all very experienced riders, a couple of them have actually competed in the TT so a good standard of riding. I usually plan a route of approx. 220 miles for the Sat. run, but can fine tune this subject to the weather, etc. I am obviously situated in one of the finest areas of the UK for biking and the run out could be either centred on the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, Lake district, or Northumberland, or indeed a mixture of all. This is not only an invite to yourself but open to any member on this forum who might like to attend. If you or anyone else need any further information or help in booking accom. please post up or contact me on 07751120945
