I have been trying to search for previous threads so many times before, but 9 out of ten times it turn out to be of no value at all to me. Maybe I'm not using it properly.
Does anybody else have the same experience?

I don't have much luck with the search function here.

I normally use Google and add R1200RS Forum to whatever I'm searching for.

The plain / basic Search on this software is pretty lame, so I typically use Advanced Search which is marginally better. Of course the best solution would be, as others have suggested, Google with the "r1200rsforums.com" modifier in it.

    if you add: site:r1200rsforums.com
to a Google search, it will give results 'only' from the website domain (rather than potentially other websites that contain the website link)
