seat height

    I can not tell what height seat I have because there is no part number sticker. Anyone have a suggestion

    What's it look like on the bike? Compare on the bike with these.

    looks like number 3 to me but I need number 4. Have taken a gamble and purchased a low from ebay so finger crossed

    I think you have the #3 seat (31.1 inch/790 mm height), which was standard on the R1200R WC and a no-cost option for the RS. This is the #3 seat that I have, as shown in this photo. IMG_3226.jpg

    You may have a problem Pete. I hope not but I have a low and there is an extra low. I had an extra low first but it was too low for me.

    You've bought the seat off me and it's definitely a 'Number 4', the part number label is still hanging on in there. You'd be hard pressed to remove another 30mm of foam without sitting on the plastic base!! . I sent it off this morning by Hermes, you should have it in a couple of days.

    Good news. And Pete, I think we’ve met. A familiar name although my memory isn’t what it was. I hope the new seat works for you. Mine was comfortable enough but I guess my legs aren’t quite as short as I thought.

    OK thanks, this should will resolve my problems with slow speed manoeuvres (on tip toes ) .
