    Greetings all.

I am the proud rider of a R1200RS Sport SE. This is my third boxer but my fourth beemer having started with an F800S in Cape Town, South Africa. That was followed by two 2001 R1100S machines. Really looking forward to interacting with you all. Hopefully one or two live local to me, that would be great.

Can't say that you're likely to see my mug stopping by for by for a cold one, but you'll find a lot of interesting people and topics on the site. Welcome, from the other side of the pond! Stick.

    Same path for me
I had the S for 2 models as one was destroyed by a car. I had them for 16 years.
The RS is a much better bike and I am sure you will love it.

Welcome Adi. I also had a couple of F800 bikes for nearly 8 year (an S, then an ST - the ST going to my wife when I upgraded to the RS), and found them to be awesome bikes, but with a confusing and undeservedly poor reputation.
The RS was the natural progression for me - all the things I loved about the F800, but with more of everything.

Enjoy, and if you ever fancy sampling some of Hertfordshire's best roads, give me a shout and I'll be happy to lead a ride.

I had 2 x R1100S , after an R1100RS and then made my way to the RS1200LC via a K1200S. Ive posted before that Berlin must have our profile month wall when designing these machines !

    It was actually Midway.
    True story.....
Mrs Bravo and I were in Cuba the other year and we got talking to a couple of girls from Maidstone in Kent. We were talking about the Medway bridge. I jokingly mentioned The Battle of Medway during WW2. They believed me... least I think they did.
