That looks about as good as any I have seen especially since the bike is actually two tone. it's almost like the Panniers are going to have to be two tone to not look too big .

Top Box! In blue! On my "wanted" list.

Thanks! Exactly how I feel about her! For some reason the tupperware of the DOHC 2010 RT model appeals more to me than the LC RT models do...

In my opinion, the RS is equally beautiful, but in a different manner.

    My excuses:
    1. I did not invest in another exhaust, an Akro for the RS would have cost me just as much as the spray paint job for my RT and the panniers of the ST together
    2. I had the spray paint job done by means of contacts via the Dutch RT Forum, reducing the actual cost by roughly 77%
    3. One more reason not to trade in the RT the next 5 years: it now is in a colour that is not available in the LC line (the blue variant that is available is a different kind of blue, not as civilized and classy as the Sidney Blue that now is on on both my RT and the ST of my wife).

    Aren't they a handsome couple?

(Top box of the ST was spray painted matte silver, to match the RT, the wife hardly ever uses the panniers, only on long weekend trips).

But those panniers look as if they came in this colour, they did not, both top box as well as panniers matte dark grey.

I have a second set of panniers that I bought used for touring and that I wouldn't be concerned about scratching, etc. While off an XR, they fit perfectly on the RS and notwithstanding the scratches (see pic), are in excellent condition. I would like to cover up the scratches and am considering the following options:

    1. Plasti-dip the lid
    2. Have lid resprayed i.e. In either grey or blue
    3. Cover the scratches portion with a 'bumper' or possibly, a strip of tape/wrap

I would like to keep the cost to a minimum as they were always intended to be 'beaters'. However, I would hope neither its present condition nor the 'remedy' descract from my new bike!

    Thoughts? And thanks, as always.

Using film has been mentioned here. Does anyone know where to find film to match the blue and white. I've looked on line, but nothing really seems right.

I had the "White" colour matched and had the luggage set professionally spray painted in same colour by a smashie. It has the same pearly/metalic finish and to me looks the part!
Originally I was thinking adding a splash of blue or some decals, but I actually like them in the white. I don't want to ruin the nice shades of white/grey at the angle/creases of the panniers like on the tank.
Thought on the colour matched white?
