Hi gents and lassies. Thought I'd pop along to say hello seeing as I am the new owner of a RS SE, in the fastest colour obviously. That would be Lupin blue for anyone wondering.

I pick the bike up on Saturday after an excellent service so far from my local stealer, Bowkers at Preston. I only returned to biking last year after a 10 year absence and thought I'd break myself in gently, so got a 1600 Thunderbird!! The RS will be sharing garage spaces with the Bird as I can't bring myself to part with it. I expect this one will get a lot more use however as I need a 3 clear day forecast before I even consider getting the Triumph out!

I'll post some pics once I get it picked up. Already gone for the Nav 6 and expect I will be investing in some BM panniers soon.

Welcome aboard, you're obviously a gentleman of impeccable taste as you've plumped for the more desirable, lighter, faster Lupin. There's a few of you Northern types on here and I'm sure they'll introduce themselves soon.

Hello. May I echo the thoughts, or as close as it gets to thoughts anyway, from the Dishonourable Member of Norfolk. It's not only northern types that will be introducing themselves. The Welsh are waving to say hello too. And the gays. Alright, just me.

Welcome Keasden. You'll find a volley of shots fired from those with the faster Granite Grey as well. But, it's all in fun! Hope you enjoy the banter as we all do. Had to start it, didn't you Bravo? Still time for a quick respray before delivery........Stick.

Wessie you're the only one on here who has come out of the closet. It must've been hard to admit you're Welsh:)

Hi Keasden, like you I am also just 'Transitioning', (I don't know about Wessie, it looks like he's already well there) as I'm riding my RT to pick my RS up later today from Pidcocks. There's an ice warning out till 10.00 am so I may leave a bit later. Heated saddle on the RT - nice!

I'm sure I'll be an active member as I'm gonna have a load of questions for you knowledgeable lot with this being my first BM, my first Sport Tourer, my first blue bike.... you get the idea.

Lupins are flowers, maybe BMW will move the game on and do a rose pink colour scheme for the current Lupin owners to aspire to lol ;);)
Have to agree that the R1200RS Sport SE is the best bike I have ever owned or ridden. :)
