It is! We will be back for sure!

That is a long flight to keep a 3-year old entertained... Where are you going? The east/southeast of france is not far from here, about two hours by bike through the black forest...

Did we get a consensus on Sat 17th, Sun 18th or both for a North of England meet and where are we aiming for/meeting on the ride in?

I'm off out to help with the weekly shop but I'll get back into this later.

    I'm back :)

I'm off the Friday through until Sunday. I'm happy to plan a route/routes and to lead at a moderate pace. I live locally so I'm not intending to stop overnight and I have Brindsley Schwartz to go and see Saturday night.

I think this needs a separate Thread to garner interest and make definite arrangements.

    Where is it?

Will this be a lunch time meet?

Don't over engineer things. Just need a time & a place.

I'd hardly say planning a route to take in some decent roads and wondering if anyone was up for more than a day was 'over engineering'

It's a bit of a tour largely sponsored by my in laws.

My father in law is a wine maker with lots of friends over there so we will be landing in Paris and then off to Epernay for a few days to stay at a Chateau of one of his mates.

Then we are going somewhere south to do a barge trip for a few days...I missed the meeting and have generally lost the plot as they all get frenchy on me so I'm not really sure where exactly that is but will surely take it in and remember soon enough.

I have a mate in Avignon which I hope to pop in at somewhere alone the line and then we mission back to Paris for a few days to see the sights, which I'm not too bothered about especially with a toddler in tow, but my wife grew up in France and wants to show me all the marvels.

I can do either, but would just be for the day itself here (only based South of Manchester, so not all that far to get back home after)

    Sunday it is then?
Just rode back from Somerset without touching a motorway, all the way was very strong winds and it was raining sideways! North Penines should be a dodle...

Hi CJ, no, it hasn't happened yet, and I've been so busy with my new job I haven't had time to even think about planning a ride. We're off on holiday on Monday too, so it will probably be a good few weeks before I get around to it.

Here on the continent we have Sat on the 16th of September this year and Sunday on the 17th, I need to work on both dates, am off the 18th though, but it seems the time and date zone problem is hindering me...
