Love the new bike Paffen. Hope you have lots of fun.
For what it’s worth, I think I would consider putting on a dark tint screen. That would be really cool! But you have just spent a lot of money, so it could be something for the future. Not long to Christmas!

    Hi Paffen,
Congratulations. Looks great. I love the colour. Nice photos. Thank you.
The bag on the seat looks interesting. What make/model is it?
Have fun, and keep the rubber on the road.

    Hi Barbelson

The bag is a saddlebag named booster

I also used this bag on previous bike, very satisfied about this product
    Goodluck with the info

Thanks Paffen. I’ve been using a topbox until now, but it is unnecessarily large for short runs. The Booster looks fine for what I want, so I’ll be getting one. Thanks.

Well, I believed "Welkom" would look familiar with the default "Welcome" phrase used here and I wanted to use the verb related to the nick. Sorry about that. Your Dutch seems to be ok as well. Can't be Google translate, can it?

    Hello tencats and the rest,

Tx for the welcome text, I will not be driving a lot the coming winter
My first "new" bike, try to avoid the bad weather but busy preparing the bike for the next
season, things that I like to do to my bike.
Installing a rear hugger (probably a puig) it cost 189€ at Louis
Installing a hornig gps mount for my old Tomtom rider4 ( no money left for the BMW navigator)
Stickers for the alloy (I hope the are made of aluminium) wheels
Maybe changing the original bmw side stickers to the red colour of bmw side stickers

That will be all, a kind of a winter project......
    Will post some pics afterwards.

    Mvg paffen

And right you are. I ordered my new R1200RS for 2018. Production will start end of January and delivery of the bike will a few weeks later, hopefully by the end of February. The bike will go directly into the garage and wait for non-salted roads as well. When spring arrives it's time to start playing for we have more then enough plans for next year. In the meantime I ride old faithful, a '96 BMW F650.

With respect to the tailbag, don't know whether the previous link would do the trick. I couldn't find the product at the Motoport shop, but I did find an other link: http://www.booster-motor.com/shop/motorcycle/luggage/tailbag/tailbag-solid/
As this is site also gives a Dutch phonenumber, I'll try to find out if the bag is still available as I'll visit a Motoport dealer tomorrow.

    Hello tencats,

The tailbag that I have, I actually bought it at a store in Belgium.
I did however did some research on the internet before buying , but couldn't find a site
witch a decent price and sending cost.
the store was EKO in Kontich nearby Antwerp

    Goodluck with your search

BTW a reminder, the straps on the back with velcro is a bit confusing to attach
to the saddle, but it is easier on the RS than compared with k 1200 r sport

The tailbag is no longer available. It's a pity.

An update, two months after purchase
Driven the bike, less than 500 km.
So can not give any ideas about the riding quality of this bike.
I did alter the bike's look,

    20180101_095630.jpg
Dark tinted screen, will be added later on(tx to Gerry)
I will keep you updated, about the riding quality of this bike, hoping for better weather and after the first maintenance( they will set the bike on full power).
