Hello everyone. My name is Jay, I live in South Central PA.
I just purchased a pre-owned 2016 R1200RS in blue and white as an upgrade to replace my 2013 F800GT. Though I got it from a dealer, the original owner is a friend of mine, who, I wish had told me he was trading it, LOL. The dealer is also a friend, and gave me a good price on it though. Though, not on pictured on the bike, I bought the luggage (top + side cases) and mounts from the original owner, along with Heli-bar bar backs, and a Givi tank-lock tank bag.

This particular bike is the base model w/o ESA or GPS prep, but, does have cruise control, which I love; what a wrist saver! My F800GT has ESA, but, I found that handling is fine in comfort mode, and rarely used any other mode. IMHO, the R1200RS's non ESA suspension has a little nicer ride than the F800GT, and handles just as well. I'll ride it for a while, and if I want a more supple ride, I'll add an Ohlins rear shock. Being 7 months post-op of a major back surgery, having a good suspension that soaks up the bumps is more important to me than ever.

I'll be using this as my main bike, commuting, touring, and weekend riding. I'm a bit of a bike whore though, and enjoy having a stable of bikes to choose from for weekend riding, and even for commuting.

I'm happiest when riding, esp. on a deserted twisty rode!

Some of my other bikes include:
    2013 F800GT (for sale)
2013 Ducati Monster 796 (only bike I've ever bought new)
    2013 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer
    2014 Moto Guzzi V7 Special
    2015 Yamaha WR250R
    2000 Kawasaki W650
2007 Vespa GTS250ie (bought for wife 4 years ago, she still hasn't gotten her license; I use it for local errands, and as a "camper bike").
    2004 Ducati 749 track bike

I've got some vintage bikes as well:
    1966 Ducati 250 Monza
    1974 Moto Guzzi Eldorado 850
    1980 BMW R100/7 w/ 1978 R100S motor, bodywork, bars, and 1981-1984 forks & brakes
    1973 BMW R75/5
    1976 Honda CB400F
    1973 Honda CB350F
    1968 Honda CL175
    1967 Honda CB77, aka 305 Superhawk

WOW. If you were so inclined it would be fun to see a photo of your garage with all those bikes inside. Nice collection. I'm sure there are a few of us on the forum who would ride over and help you keep some of those engines oil circulating.
