If the fault is not present, I don't think there's anything to clear???
I think the only times I have cleared faults are when they are present and highlighted in red.

It said it was "not present" while at least indicating that it might have been a fault in the past. Strange. That's why I suggested if there was a date we'd know when it happened and that the record was historical. I am sure I'll figure it out in time for a review.

    OK, question.

Looks like the new bikes and readers went to a standard OBDII plug.
Hence the adapter cable available on the web page.

I have a very fancy OBDII reader that I can reset the code on my BMW car with.
Why won't the cable and the reader I have work for my R1200RS??

Anyone know or have tried this?

    Thanks,
    Karl

I just purchased obd2 for use with my R1200RS, seller told me just to download the app (only android) and it should work fine.
Let you guys know when I get it!
Sure is worth a try for only €68 and a minor price for the app in the playstore.

I just saw a post on the MOA forum where a member used the MotoScan for BMW Motorcycles app and was able to clear the service reminder on a 2017 F700GS. The pro version of the app is $28.

Got it by mail today, lets see if it works!

Today got it attached to the bike and it works fine with the free app.
Connection is made easy and can look into all kind of things.
Soon buy the pro app and get into some settings and resets.

    Please,
Where did you buy the reader? Which one? Cable? Software? Does it work on Apple devices (Software vendor would be able to tell me this)

    Thanks in advance.

Just go to their website: www.wgsoft.de
All explained on the site what you need.
Just select the reader and add the cable when you look inside your shopping cart with discount!
It does NOT work with apple and they're not planning to do so.
