Had to change the slip-on. Nice rasp under acceleration, not too noisy. Even managed to get a pair of F800ST panniers fitted, all good to go. Just gotta wire in a socket for the heated jacket and I reckon that's it for a while. Fuel Exhaust 3.jpg Pan3.jpg

Good to see you supporting local industry Graham. Fuel are a good company, British made, well constructed and reasonably priced.

    Is that a Buccaneer?

The F800ST panniers fit without modification to the bags?

The right one? No problem. The left need a modification to the claw that fits over the rail. WP_20171014_08_27_26_Pro.jpg WP_20171014_08_37_58_Pro.jpg Had to drill a couple of additional holes but works a treat my friend WP_20171005_15_29_22_Pro.jpg

My old Captain of HMS Fife JJR Tod was the Buccaneer pilot who lobbed the bomb down the Torrey Canyon funnel. He was a top skipper too :)

Reminds me of my favourite joke from Third Rock From The Sun.....
Dick is dressed as a pirate at a fancy dress party, someone asks "Dick where's your Buccaneers? " To which he replies "Underneath my bucanhat "

F800 panniers look good and look a bit more robust than the RS ones. Do they lock on just the same ??? I'm an Ex Buccaneer armourer, was on 208 Sqn for almost eight years at RAF Lossiemouth.

Sorry, didn't answer the question. The right hand one slots straight on, the left need a mod to the claw. I put some pics up on here somewhere.

Laarbruch is now "Weeze Airport" . Most of the old officers quarters are being used for Polish folks working at the quarrys over Kevelaer way and building houses across the border. Some of the shelters have been turned into bombproof apartments!
