I've just got back from my annual Scottish 'bash' with friends. I rode up to Fort Augustus on Thursday from Home (Kendal in the Lake District). We stayed at a bunkhouse and did a loop from there each day. Skye on Friday, Mull on Saturday and the Cairngorms on Sunday including the Lecht.

Many of the roads were single track and the weather wasn't kind but at least it kept the midges at bay. There were 10 bikes and riders and the pace was 'progressive'. No time for looking at the scenery. We averaged about 300 miles each day including riding up and down.

The RS and I have now fully bonded. She was faultless and impressed all not just myself. We had some long days and about 40 to 45 hours riding in the 5 days so now I'm pretty shattered.

Good company, good food and plenty to drink :)

I keep thinking the RS is the way forward for me!! Not got one yet! Cannot beat Scotlands roads, I am a bit biased though, home being one hour North of Inverness! I love the tape cross out on the euro plate on old rats bike, made me laugh out loud!!!!

And that 'tape out' has been there for years too.
