I am supposed to be leaving for the Texas hill country on the K1600 tomorrow a.m. and they are calling for snow tonight - I feel your pain!

If I had a trailer I'd be leaving to join you.
I even asked Darrell if he had one.

Sorry to see your spring being so cruel. Hope you have a warm summer with lots of bike riding. It's this global warming that's creating these problems and if that's not working for you than it must be climate change.;):(:(

That would have been fun! :D I had heard the Twisted Sisters Route in the Texas hill country is supposed to be one of the best motorcycling roads in the USA.

It's a good area for riding this time of year. We usually go early April for a i-BMW rally.
Sometimes it's really cold when we leave Iowa but it's almost always warm or hot down there and the wildflowers are out.
We have another commitment and Debbie has a work conflict this year so had to cancel the Texas and Arkansas rallies.

It ended up to be too cold (27-31 degrees) and too windy (20-30 mph cross wind) for me this a.m. After two hours and little hope of improved conditions I abandon my trip to Texas and headed back home. :(:(

    Nothing wrong with turning around.
One of the MOA guys rode up from Alabama for meetings about the MOA National in Des Moines this last Sunday and went down on a icy bridge. Lucky for him he was not hurt and the bike was good enough to get him home.
