Torque trumps horsepower..... well almost... very evenly matched... except in the corners.... lighter more nimble Duke faster...
got back late last night..... Brrrrrr.... bit chilly back in UK!
Had an epic journey across France and Spain to Andorra.... up and over the Pyrenees crossing boarders 4-5 times a day... RS was v v v fast..... 'shift assistant pro' was a god-send.... 7626 gear changes on the last day! ... while riding over 250 miles to Santander.... screen was more comfortable in down position even at three figure speeds.... Satnav bracket after 1800 miles is still rock solid... 64 Gigabytes of GoPro footage... just have to learn how to edit!! Loved every second of it... well except the rain on one day... up in the treacherous hairpins of the Tour du France climbs... had some rear wheel slippage... and managed to hit two small stones with front AND rear wheel at the same time (that got my heart thumping)... back in UK in one piece... bike needs a clean now... performed effortlessly and never dropped below 53 mpg despite long tight hairpins downhill needing first gear and some enthusiastic riding... Glad I went... all set for another one next year... thanks for all the kind offers of a continental touring buddy... but i can only really afford one trip like that a year!! and I'm committed to next years ride out already....... thanks for all the kind comments..... the french and Spanish roads... wow! empty fun and well surfaced..
